LITTLE BUNCHES

Little Bunches introduces children to the wonderful world of flowers through creative, hands-on workshops. Designed for children aged 8–14 years, each session combines learning, nature and floral art in a welcoming and encouraging environment. Children explore flowers, foliage, colour and texture while learning simple floristry techniques and creating beautiful pieces to take home.

LEARNING THROUGH CREATIVITY

Little Bunches encourages children to learn through practical activities, imaginative design and creative play.

With step-by-step guidance, children learn how to prepare flowers, combine colours and textures, and arrange floral materials. Activities encourage confidence, concentration, fine motor skills and individual expression.

Children Will Explore:

Flower and foliage identification
Basic flower care and preparation
Colour combinations, shapes and textures
Simple floristry and arranging techniques
Working with fresh and dried flowers
Safe use of age-appropriate floristry tools

Every child is encouraged to follow their imagination and develop their own floral style.

LEARNING THROUGH NATURE

Flowers offer a lovely way for children to connect with nature and discover the variety of shapes, colours and textures found in the plant world.

Children explore seasonal flowers and foliage, learn how to care for them, and discover how natural materials can become creative works of art.

Note: Flowers and foliage may vary between workshop sessions, depending on seasonal availability.

Depending on the season and workshop, children may create:

Hand-tied bouquets
Vase or table arrangements
Mini flower baskets
Wrist corsages and floral bracelets
Dried flower creations
Seasonal arrangements and decorative floral art

Each workshop features selected projects, with all finished creations taken home to enjoy.

GET INSPIRED

Little Bunches is designed for children aged 8–14 years who enjoy flowers, nature, arts and crafts, or making things with their hands.

No previous floristry experience is needed; beginners are very welcome!

Children receive step-by-step guidance while having the freedom to explore their own ideas. Each session provides a supportive space to learn new skills, build confidence and enjoy creating with flowers.

Workshop Details
✦ Ages: 8–14 years
✦ Duration: Approximately 3 hours
✦ Dates: Coming soon! Register your interest to be notified when bookings open.
✦ Time: To be confirmed with each workshop date.
✦ Location: Reynard Street Neighbourhood House, Coburg, and/or CERES Community Environment Park, Brunswick East. The venue will be confirmed for each workshop.
Enrolment forms must be completed before your child attends the workshop. Please provide details of any allergies, medical conditions or health considerations, including sensitivities to flowers or plants.
For allergy safety, children must not share food during the workshop.

Everything needed for the workshop is provided. Children may also bring favourite fresh or dried flowers where suitable for the planned activity - please check with us beforehand.
What to Bring
Please bring a drink bottle and a snack and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Please let us know about any allergies or health considerations when booking, including sensitivities to flowers or plants.
For allergy safety, children should not share food. Places are limited to maintain a small, supportive and creative workshop environment.

Meet Filiz

Filiz is a UK-qualified florist and balloon artist with over 20 years of experience and a recipient of a Qualatex award for floral balloon design.

With a love of flowers and a warm, caring approach, she brings creativity to life through Little Bunches, helping children feel welcome, build confidence and enjoy creating floral pieces of their own.
